Matthew Byam Shaw, Nia Janis and Nick Salmon have worked together for nearly ten years and created Playful Productions in the spring of 2010.
Playful's productions include: Onassis (Novello); Enron (Noel Coward); Red (Broadway); Krapp's Last Tape (Duchess); Yes, Prime Minister (Gielgud, tour and Apollo) and Flare Path (Theatre Royal Haymarket).
As general manager, productions include: Wicked (Apollo Victoria); Dirty Dancing (Aldwych); Shrek the Musical (Theatre Royal Drury Lane); Million Dollar Quartet (Noël Coward) and Clybourne Park (Wyndhams).
Prior to playful, matthew, nia and nick's productions include: Legally Blonde (Savoy); Hamlet (Broadway); Spring Awakening (Lyric Hammersmith and Novello); Mary Stuart (Apollo and Broadway); Don Carlos (Gielgud); A Midsummer Night's Dream (Roundhouse, tour and US tour); Sinatra at the London Palladium; Edward Scissorhands (Sadler's Wells, tour, Japan, Korea and US tour); Humble Boy (Gielgud, tour and MTC); Anything Goes (Theatre Royal Drury Lane); Boeing Boeing (Comedy, tour and Broadway) and Frost/Nixon (Gielgud and Broadway).
