Director
Sarah is one of the founders of Barbershopera productions and has directed Barbershopera I (Plymouth Drum, UK Tour and BBC Radio 4), Barbershopera II (Edinburgh, Trafalgar Studios and UK and International tour) and Barbershopera III (Trafalgar Studios and UK tour).
In 2008/9 Sarah was a director in residence at the Young Vic under the Wilson Brothers Scheme, and whilst there directed the parallel production of Annie Get Your Gun and a devised piece, Bay.
Other directing credits include: Mad Funny Just winner of the Old Vic New Voices Theatre 503 award (Theatre503); Mayfly (Old Vic New Voices 24 Hour Plays) and the world premiere of Danny Morrison’s The Wrong Man (Pleasance Theatre & tour).
As staff director her credits include: Elegy For Young Lovers; Turandot; Madam Butterfly and Partenope (English National Opera). As assistant, The Member of the Wedding (Young Vic) and Enemies (Almeida Theatre).
Sarah was shortlisted for an Arts Foundation Fellowship in Theatre Directing in 2009.
