THE CLASSIC STORY ON STAGE
Simon became a Production Manager, having previously worked as a Stage Manager for English National Opera and Scottish Opera. He studied Theology and Ancient History at the University of Durham – where his academic supervisors would readily admit he gave more to the university’s dramatic life as opposed to its academic.
For twenty years, he was Director and co-owner of Crosbie Marlow Associates. Simon now runs Marlow Production Management Ltd which is an international production management company, specialising in large scale musicals and West End plays. He has been privileged to technically supervise numerous international productions of shows such as Mamma Mia! and The Phantom of the Opera.
Outside of musical and West End theatre, he has technically managed many other projects, such as, Kate Bush’s return to live performance at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2014, as well as setting up the three Kings Cross Theatres, which as temporary structures presented The Railway Children, In the Heights, Lazarus and the award-winning Donmar Warehouse Shakespeare season.
Recently, Simon took Bat Out of Hell - The Musical from its season in Manchester, to Toronto via the London Coliseum. The production now has a permanent home at the Dominion Theatre.
